I'll just point out that the swear filter hasn't kicked in, Lee was (hopefully is an this isn't true) a decent guy who just had some various issues, he was offeredhelp and support by friends and family but for some reason he just wasn't one to "conform".

Heard this last year aswell and it turned out to be just a rumour hope it's the same this time around although it does make you think who'd be sad enough to start rumours about this sort of thing.

A good guy who didn't cause anybody any bother.

My best memory of him was when we were on the way to Huddersfield for the CC semi final in 2005 and seeing him cornered on the Ouse bridge by police, god knows what they thought of him. I think it was his intention to get to the Galpharm because along with all his carrier bags he had a hull scarf tied to his push bike.

Some of my facebook friends are saying he died outside of Weir Bar and his brother confirmed it. Another said seen him only a few hours before the rumour started, on Hessle Rd.

I personally didn't know him but my mam lives on Gipsyville and she said he always had a smile and said hello.

If it's true then RIP Lee, you were, as they say, unique.

It seemed the coppers didn't know what to do with him that day (I don't think they were to keen to take him back to Hull in their cars).
