Can't resist a dig at his customer base as usual. How many businesses out there consistently slag off parts of their potential customer base. Idiotic for one that is desperate for any income. Apart from that it was actually a good press release with a nice sentiment.

He actually says tge words 'not having a go at anyone' and says he understands the cost of living crisis.
He's just answering people like Scar and Lampy who think he has a money tree.

No one thinks he has a "money tree". They think giving people like Tom Lineham 3 year deals was stupid. And it was. But even if, EVEN IF, he thought that, it's not a good diea for a skint club to slag off any potential customers, is it?

I'm not defending him. It just seems obvious to me.
And of course he wasn't talking about them directly but they are the ones saying we should invest more when he's saying we are facing massively reduced revenues.

I personally wouldn't have put that comment in, as it was bound to be taken personally by some. But that's him.

He says not having a go but then has a go and I realise his magic money tree died a long time ago. I am under no illusion regarding the position we are in because we appear to be so for the last few seasons.
It is a catch 22 situation to increase revenue you need to increase the number of supporters but to do this you need a competitive team. It is rare you can do the former without rectifying the latter first.
I am quite happy to let his plan for next season play out so please don’t feel the need to refer to me because he has many more to convince if attendances are down than just two of us plus I would remind you I have not impacted the club financially because I have a season ticket.

Nothing in that statement that I could see was having a dig at anyone , just Honest and open I’d say ,just how everyone wanted it , whether it was what you wanted to hear or not .

It's a needless, passive aggressive dig. It's not a smart way of doing PR. I'm very much respectful of what we have achieved off the field under Michael's tenure but he really could do with being a bit smarter. He's got nothing to gain fan wise in that post but he might just have potentially lost a couple who will just think " it"

I'd go regardless but I just don't see how little sly comments are helpful. You can be transparent and matter-of-fact without that.

Just disappointing because everything he said otherwise is helpful and it's nice to have the transparency but just resist the nonsense.
