I was really saddened to see on twitter that our chairman is feeling the strain of being at the helm of our great club.

After the incredible high of the end of season match v Cas we the fans were sunk to the depths of despair when the whole truth about the Elston/Glover overspending came to light.

To come to where we are now at the start of the season with what I believe is a competitive team is nothing short of a miracle through the efforts of MC, Kath, Martin Hopkins and what appears to be a very small back room team.
Yes it was an abysmal performance on Thursday aided by a certain mr Hicks and the fact we were on telly added to the embarrassment but let's please us the fans not forget how far our club has come in the off season.

I firmly believe we have some of the best fans in the league with instances such as the works going on to sort the ground out, the efforts of the supporters trust & instances like the fans sponsorship of Wildie.

Yes we have a right to moan about our teams performance but I think our constant moaning about issues such as pies/bars & entry to the ground need to be put in context. I can only imagine the hard work and efforts that must have happened down at BV for the first home game of the season.
It is all too easy to have a go from the comfort of our armchairs when I for one couldn't even begin to organise such a big occasion on such a small number of staff. Yes there will be mistakes but us as fans need to support and get behind them.

Totally agree support the club, Thursdays performance couldn't have come at a worse time but it's in the past now move on. The hard work that MC and his team are doing now the club will reap the benefits for years to come. I believe MC will get this great old club of ours in a good place on and of the pitch.

Great opening post!

Staggering the amount of bad feeling and nonsense being posted after one poor performance and a few other gameday problems.....kind of like a big kick in the teeth to months and months of unbelievably hard work by plenty of people at the club to get us to where we are are now....and in all honesty a far, far better squad of players than any of us could have dreamed of 3 months back.....

On the field, Thursday night had all the ingredients beforehand for it to turn out like it did so I'm extremely surprised at the huge kneejerk reaction so many have shown......have to say I'm surprised at quite a few who I thought were credible posters.....lost a hell of a lot of respect for quite a few I had a lot of time for before this week.....oh well you live and learn eh.....

It's too easy to criticise ,sat at home,or in the stands.we are all guilty of moaning but some on here who think they know better than everyone else,top coaches,but for some reason still cutting oranges up at HT in a windswept park on a Sunday morning,are only happy when bagging players,coaches even posters on here.I'm sick of saying it,but,if we were Wigan,Leeds,Shudds or any top side,they'd still find something or someone to slag off.

I said at the end of last season that I wouldn't be going again as I was fed up with the whole game, however I was there on thursday night and will be all season apart from holidays. KEEP THE FAITH.

Just that he is finding it really tough at the minute and that his home life suffering. Various posts to him slating match day problems etc etc.
He doesn't seem the type to want sympathy but I think considering all his efforts to date our support this season is vital.

Well said lets get behind them its going to b long season they will need r support.

Well he wouldn't be human if it didn't wear him down, only way to prevent that is to avoid it by being less accessible but why should he do that.

In many ways it's a thankless task but for every negative moaner there are a hundred who appreciate the effort, commitment and sacrifice, I hope that MC knows that.

Let's hope that some respite from the onslaught is just around the corner but until then, for all ours and the clubs sake, keep the faith MC!
