Kear told BBC Radio Leeds: "If I was going to put a bet on it I'd bet pretty solidly that Paul would be joining us.
The coach added: "I think how things are looking at the moment as long as we can dot the i's and cross the t's it should be a relatively safe bet."
Kear doesn't say this unless he's signed.

I have a lot more faith in Kear as a coach to get the best out off Newton then I do with Mcnamara. Dave Halley is a name that springs to mind! |
