Just a quick post to let you all know that we will be having pre-match entertainment at next sundays game, our opening league game. This will be provided by 2 local singers who have volunteered their time to come down and entertain you all. The singers are both local's who have never performed on a rugby pitch before, they have had a practice and both sound very good. The singers are lianne King and Gemma Wright and they will be performing between them 5 or 6 different songs time permitting, entertainment starts 1.15pm.

Hang on a minute.... is that THE Lianne King? Actually from Keighley? Didn't know she'd been transferred to Fev. But whatever town can claim her as a local, she's very good.

Lol both girls are both local to the Keighley area, it's entertainment this Sunday at cougar park prior to our match with featherstone.

Got my wires crossed. I read "Featherstone Pre-Match Entertainment" and assumed that the game was at Featherstone - "senior moment".

But I can confirm that she is a great singer.

I'm gonna try, lianne is a friend of mine and Gemma was at a party I did Karoake for so I nabbed em both for nothing to sing for you all lol. It was 1st time they both have ever sung on a rugby field, it takes a lot of getting used to because of the sound delay.

I thought Lianne King could be a fantastic permanent singer at Cougar home games. Just needs a bit of confidence in the different environment. Should get right into middle of the pitch though as if she means it. Get her paid a bit of something. Then get a proper pre match schedule sorted with Crazy Dave. Get team announcements & other announcements out of way early - so there is a music only build up in last 10 minutes before teams come out.

To be honest the singing wasn't to my taste to honest. It was too over sung, almost to the point of being club singer like.

What about a pre match "Cougar Karaoke" session? Any aspiring "artiste" pays a few quid to sing on the pitch before the game so speccies get to have a laugh at how bad they are. I'm sure harry-al-hill would be up for belting out a bit of Spandau Ballet or Erasure.
