| I was reading recently that Leeds hoped to beat the 25,011 that watched the game with Saints in 2005. The game at Elland Road v Cas got a total of 23,478.

| Cracking attendance though and I’d hope to get close to that when Saints come to town later in the season. On current form for both sides it could be a blinder!!

| I know loads of free tickets were given out to sponsors and LUFC staff, but it is a good attendance and hopefully it will encourage more to get to the games in the future.

| The sport needs more of this kind of thing, well done Leeds. It's a shame they aren't taking the games v us, Hull and Saints there too, as I expect all would break the 20k figure.

| A little idea seeing as the last few Good Friday fixtures have sold out in advance- what if Wigan and Saints made an agreement to play the fixture at a bigger stadium for the next few years and really promote it as a big event. The first year one club sacrifices a home game and claims gate receipts, the next year the other club does. Anfield or City of Manchester?

It’s something I’ve thought we should look at for a while. At the very least in the summer fixture if not the Good Friday game.
I’ve just been flicking through the Metro on the way in to work and had a stark realisation that when people say League is bigger at domestic club level in the UK then Union, that it really isn’t anymore. On this weekend just gone Saracens got 57,000 at the Olympic Stadium, Newcastle Falcons got 30,000 at St James Park and Leicester got 25,000 at home against Wasps.

They are talking about rolling out internationals in the North West and North East.
