Do the RFL need to look in to Refereeing/Video Refs decisions?

For those watching on TV even the panel/commentators were going bonkers over the last Wigan try.

I've said for ages the on-field decision thing is garbage and needs a rethink.

This is a perfect example of where the rule is wrong. As far as I'm concerned it was not a try. If you freeze frame from any of the angles shown there is nothing that conclusively proves he didn't touch the ball, in all probability he didn't however as there is no angle that shows a gap between his hand and the ball. If you apply the rules to the letter I can understand how he came up with the decision.

If the ref sends it up to the VR then he isn't sure, the VR should then make a decision without any influence from the ref. If the VR can't make a decision because it is unclear either way the he can hand back to the ref and go with his call.

Where did you get that from. Everyone has said so far that it shouldn't have been a try. Neither should Castleford's first but I don't see you moaning about that.
