It was always too much to ask of the club to get the strip out in time for Christmas, two years in a row.

Well maybe it's a case of managing expectations! Buy it in January as an early Xmas present for 2017.
You could look at the good side at least you know that pressie under the tree is not a broncos jersey would it not be boring knowing every year that's what you are getting.

If our club was run on commercial lines, then the new season shirts would have been available early in December. The person responsible for merchandising has failed in their duty by this not happening. Plain and simple.
However as The Broncos is a rich mans toy, it does not really matter, we will move on from this cock up to the next.

Why? Folk that buy the shirt will generally buy it anyway! So from a commercial perspective it makes no difference.
You cannot blame the person for merchandising if the new shirt has not been decided on yet, they can only merchandise what they have available.

Well back to the same discussion without him and his toy the shirt not being available for Xmas would probably be irrelevant as there would likely be no club to have a shirt worry about

Bostwick how can you complain about not having the shirts for Christmas. The club are doing what you said you wanted last season and that is a shirt presentation day which season ticket holders can attend - you cant have it all ways. If you want a shirt for a Christmas present approach the club and ask if you can pay for one and can they send you a proof of purchase which can then be put into an envelope and given to whoever you want it for as a Christmas gift. Problem solved - not difficult was it. Why would the club buy in shirts now for to sell to around 12 to 20 die hards who would like to have them for Christmas or for Christmas gifts. It is unprofessional for a business to tie up money it does not have for a few shirts in different sizes when they could be bought at a later date in bulk much cheaper. As said above shirts could still be given as christmas gifts and available for all to purchase after the presentation. Which do you want early shirt release or shirt presentation day. I think the club for once in many years have got it spot on and you have your day without them spending capital.

At no point have the club said that shirts will not be available before Christmas.

The event mentioned is a season launch. Shirts will be available and delivered before Christmas.

Nothing to do with poor marketing/merchandising or a rich mans toy, however much that annoys you.

How do you know and also how do you know how many additional ones may or may not have been sold with a high profile pre Xmas launch?

If they are coming out before Xmas then they need to get advertising fairly quickly to receive orders and send them out

Any other club would have sorted this out for Christmas and make it a bit of an earner. But as we know LB isn't like any other club!
