How important is it to actually win this at this stage of the season?

Obviously its always nice to win, but we haven't had a great start, is losing this now a disaster?

Why would it be a disaster?
It would be good if out of the 4 we could take 2 points off them, but I do not think this is an essential must win game. Realistic view now, we are highly unlikely to get top spot most likely at best we will hit 3rd, which actually is not that bad a place to finish.
I think with 3 wins in a row tucked under our belt and beating fev against the odds will have given the squad confidence especially as we are missing a couple of our key players still. I think with new guys coming in building on the confidence and closing out games is important.
What we need to do at Odsal is make it competative, if we lose and go down fighting then fine, if we go and capitulate then its a worry. We need to be narrowing the gap between us and leigh/Bradford

I agree Micky, it's nice that we've managed to silence (at least temporarily) some of the Doomsayers, we're 4th and starting to show some form, I have my new shirt and we've broken the duck away from home, all is well with the world as far as I can see (still need another Prop or two, imo), new signings seem to be improving the side and Henderson seems to be the man.

Sheffield are the dark horses in this league. We are in the mix with Fax, Fev etc for 4th

We've beaten three teams who are around us and at about our level, Bradford are the step up we need to test ourselves against.
We need to be pushing teams like Bradford and Leigh if we are to get out of this league.

Can't argue with that Graeme, it's just good to see us bounce back after the shock against Sheffield and the mauling at the LSV (after we'd battled well in the league fixture).

Currently, Sheffield, London, Leigh and Bradford would face Wakey, FC Widnes and Wire.
We've lost to Leigh (twice) and Sheffield already and I don't hold out much hope for the weekend ahead, so regardless of the poor form shown by SL clubs, we won't be anything other than a team to score lots of points against in the middle 8 should we make it.

I doubt Wire will be anywhere near the mix come crunch time.
