I would quite happily give up on the reserves and loan the lot of them to Skolars every week. As a community, London RL needs to use every avenue available to promote the game and the Skolars getting hammered every week isn't good for the game.
I can't wait for the howling of abuse once Skolars win their next 9 games, al with bonus points and go on to gain promotion to the championship. Then next year, after Halifax, Widnes Leigh et al are left in their wake, they are fast tracked to SL in 2012......

Good thing and obviously already in force before being announced as O'Callaghan and Graves were back with our reserves on Saturday after just one game for the Skolars.

Think the numbers should be limited though, three at a time seems enough. Mostly young guys but maybe also senior players recovering from injury.

I can't believe both clubs haven't started this earlier.

It makes perfect sense.......I know skolars have and want to maintain their own identity, but I wuld think that the Quins RL Squad (reserves) wouls spank most teams in Championship 1 .....and therefore get Skolars into the next division and nearer a SL Licence...........

Because this represents a massive policy shift by the RFL, and completely changes the strategic landscape of the Co-Operative leagues. This is the first example of non-SL competitions being used as minor leagues, in the same way the NSW Premier League and Queensland Cup is full of feeder clubs for the NRL.

This is massive. Now the genie is out of the bottle expect to see other Championship sides become the feeder clubs for SL teams - Hunslet for Leeds, Keighley for Bradford and who knows one day (oh please, god, please...) Hull Fc for Rovers...
