Thank you everyone who contributed to my post regarding coach travel. Taking on board your comments I discussed it with the club. After receipt of costings by the coach company and detailed talks with the club it was agreed it not cost effective to a have a coach. The coach company required a full coach throughout the season, as we could not guarantee this they withdrew the offer. We can however, if there are enough people interested get a coach at £800 a journey. Would this be worth considering if we wanted to target certain games. Would there be enough interest for a set amount of games per season?

Weekend games would probably be the easiest still, if one game is picked quite a way in advance, e.g. (I know it is way off) but Bradford on 2nd of August, this is a sunday so the trains would probably be quite bad and could be quite a vital game in terms of league position.

Thats just a suggestion but another worth considering would be running a coach for Challenge Cup away games.

How many seats do we get for £800?

42 i would imagine, cost isnt much difference for a 42 and a 24 from what i remember

would it/could it be a 60 seater? If this company are touting for business, they may well be prepared to be flexible about this.

£19 each on a 42 seater would not be that bad at all, especially for a Southern company.
