Signs for Halifax due to needing room on overseas quota

thought all their players came from overseas.do they have any canadians in their team ???,so it seems a bit silly to give them a quota.

Does anyone actually know their quota rules? I’m assuming English players don’t count on their cap? They have the following foreigners:

Ashton Simms
Blake Wallace
Chase Stanley
Cory Patterson
Jack Buchanan
Jake Butler Fleming
Josh McCrone
Reni Maituai
QLT (Leaving)

That’s 8 foriegn players, thought the rule was 5 or 6? Some must have EU / Kolpac recidency.

Add Darcy Lussick to that list if it counts.

That's 8 foreign players, some of them must have EU/Kolpac rights. However, does anyone know the quota rules? Just tried to find it on the RFL website and your given a 250 page book full or jargon! I suppose its good to muddy the waters.

The rules must state that North American players don't count on the quota, as Ryan Burroughs is from the USA.

It wouldn't surprise me if the RFL are bending the rules just to get them in Super League.

UK,USA Jamaica don't count on their quota.
What's questionable is signing another quota spot player whilst all spots had gone.
