It's about time Dick Lewis and his cronies at RL headquarters had a word in the ear of those that dish out the honours and recognise a man who has dedicated 80 odd years service to RL and the people of Leigh before it's to late .

I think at 93 Tommy deserves all the accolades that he is entitled to NOW. He should have been in the New Year honours this time IMO. I totally agree that Tommy should have the freedom of the Sports Village, he should sit where he likes and be royally entertained by the Directors. I have to tell you that Tommy has not been happy the fact that he has had to stand down and he described his Christmas and New Year as "The worst ever" because he felt the Directors had snubbed him. I think at his age that it is the right decision to ask him to stand down and an equally correct decision to give him a free run of the place.
