A fair point. I suspect this game will be a good measure of our supposed new found resilience, togetherness and mental toughness. I really hope that is the case.

I share your concerns. From a Wire perspective, it remains to be seen how we rock up after the disappointment of Wembley. Looking at Salford, meanwhile, their season so far is a real mixed bag. They beat Hull KR and Leigh at home but were hammered by them both away. That points to away form being a problem, but then they won at Saints and Huddersfield. I think it's simply a reasonably even league this year and anything can happen on the day.

Salford are the worst team to face this week. Everyone expects Warrington to win, there will be open wounds from last week and the last two years. And they attack so well if they get on a roll they can rack up points quite quickly, and if that purple patch is at the start of the game we could be behind and chasing all over again.

For me, it’s back to basics on Friday. Keep the ball and win the middle. Even if it’s dour to watch, we need to learn the lessons of chasing rather than earning.

I think this is all what we are waiting to see with baited breath. I am praying there is no "slump".

Hopefully, the lads considered last weeks skirmish as a warm up to meet Salford. We need to hit the ground running & stay on the front foot.

As Burgess Said, Holroyd in for Fitzgibbon, and if he's over whatever his injury was against Wigan, than Wood is first choice for me to replace Crowther.

A team that wants to qualify for the Grand Final would be expectant of a home win. Not saying it's a foregone conclusion, or that they wouldn't need to earn it, but it's a reasonable expectation.

For saying they operate on 60% cap, Salford do punch above their weight.
