While this article may turn out to be the accusations of a bitter ex-employee, would anyone be totally surprised if the previous regime had let these players slip through our fingers?

It'd be more credible to read a list of every 'reject', good and bad.

There was also a comment on twitter that's not in the article saying we ruled out making an offer for 'Haven winger Craig Calvert because he played with his socks rolled down.

The only consolation really is that even if we would have signed him and he had gone on to perform like he has done, it's likely we would have lost him when things went belly up before last season!

Don't see the point in the article full stop, we probably never had the money any way..why bring the negatives back when we are suppose too be on new positive era....

It doesn't really matter if Robinson paraded Tomkins etc past the old Salford board , they would have all been sold or left prior to going belly up.

When we were at the Willows, hardly a month went past without a complaining letter in one of the RL papers from Mrs Robinson at the poor take-up by the club of what her hubby had found. These became especially vitriolic if we signed someone from Aus/NZ. The comments became a bit staid after a while: I could glance to know what was being said as it was the same old story.

I had hoped that this had ended. There are players I am aware we missed out and others I wish we had missed out on. C'est la vie.
