Quote programmethrower="programmethrower"Not going to bite but seen as you've called me out a couple times now I'll happily oblige.
1, Rarely do I criticize the players, they are just not good enough, not there fault they get embarrassed 3 weeks out of 4.
2, So the players aren't good enough, see above. Whose it who signs the players?
3, Dinosaur? One would suggest your the dinosaur, happy to let someone who is long past there sell by date, continually run the club into the ground.
4, Clearly your in utopia at the moment. Had Sidlow not gone over, what would your opinion of the game been, Same old Salford bla bla blaaa
5, Best RL on show? Obviously your in the opinion Defense does NOT win you game. We cannot defend. SIMPLE! If you want examples, ask away! RL is 50/50 Offence, Defense, You cannot lose not conceding a point, albeit we'd only end up on 27 points minimum but it'd be more that we'd finish this season.
Now then Fossil, lets see if your view and opinions can take a step forward with me to the dinosaur years eh?'"
1. Totally disagree because when we have lost many have been close games, hardly embarrassing considering most clubs have a higher player budget than us.
2. Have you ever considered how difficult it must be to not only afford better players on Salford's income but to also attract them when 'so called' big clubs are also sniffing? Lets face it Salford will realistically have much smaller pool of players to chose from than most other teams in Superleague.

I know lets sign Tompkins, Roby, Morley, Peacock, Sinfield, McGuire and a few other stars and pay them peanuts and all our frustrations will be a thing of the past. Maybe you could do the negotiations and get them to all agree on a 50% pay cut in return for the prestige of playing for SCR?
3. It's very easy to point blame but knowbody else is ever willing to put their hand up or more importantly throw some new money at Salford Reds.
4. We beat a team 7 places higher than us in the league and you won't allow yourself to give credit where its due. Had Sidlow not scored I'm sure you would have been much happier wallowing in defeat.
5. Personally I'd rather we won 34-38 in an entertaining game with plenty of great tries than a dull up your jumper, safety first 4-6 win. As a spectacle it was a far more entertaining game to watch than the pre hyped Wigan v Saints encounter.
I think Vievers got his tactics spot on yesterday by instructing the team to give the ball plenty of air and tiring out their big players in the heat. If we had played them down the middle and got into a forward battle we would have been beaten no matter how much emphasis was put on our defence.
