I know Alan Halsall (Tyronne from Corrie) was a Saford fan in school!
I'm sure Pete Waterman is too.
Obviously we have the cooler celeb fans too such as Hooky et al.

Think Ryan Giggs follows Wigan. He wrote the foreword for Kris Radlinski's book (which is a very good read by the way). Seems he follows them rater than us. Don't know if it's cos his dad played for Swinton even though he doesn't get on with him that well!

It is a very good piece is that. Course Virgo is an old Salfordian and that was always being mentioned when he did Big Break with Jim Davidson. Good on him!!!!

Interesting that Giggs is a Salford fan. Maybe it be used as a marketing tool in the final season at The Willows, I know he has the Freedom of Salford. He could be presented with something of give a speech, I'm sure it would attract a few extra fans if they knew Giggs was doing a speech or what ever it might be.

or combine party in the park with a Salford match

Think I read that Party in the park has been scrapped to save money, pity as a final league game with an earlish kick off and then all wobble up the hill to see some rousing entertainment would have been most fitting.

Still think with some of the musical talent we have that has come from Salford the club should try and sort something.

A Russel Watson, Hooky, Sweeney and Graham Nash (OK an adopted Salfordian but brilliant all the same) colabaration would be a good start.

Ryan Giggs is a Swinton fan and who can blame him for following the club his father played for.

As a side he is more recently due to Swinton not being very good a Wigan fan, and I'll guarantee he's watched Wigan more times than he's ever dreamt of watching Salford FACT.
