For the real RL fans you will find the town welcoming with proper boozers, tommy Burke will have the proper breakfast and ale from about 9am ish next door bar none is run by Phil Johnson then continue your trek towards LSV the George has plenty fans in before you hit the two big rugby pubs centurion and Brittania. On site you have leigh East and the legends bar with the wren pub doing proper food with a beer garden, if you are poor the you can get a take out from morrisons, parking free on site if early or in town plus Leigh miners not far away

The Oldham loop was taken over by trams some time back: the last train was Oldham 2009 and both Mumps and Werneth stations are not in use /changed.

The trams leave Rochdale very frequently but take 40 mins to get to Vic so the trains are used by many travellers.

Technically there are trains to Oldham: to Mills Hill (as this is where the original (183icon_cool.gif station for Oldham was and still serves Chadderton) and to Moston (which also serves south Chadderton). However neither are in Oldham : Mills Hill is next to the boundary with Chadderton.
And, as a drunken number of the fans realised on Good Friday, Greenfield is in Oldham. Hic.
