Why wasn’t Myler sin binned for elbowing Holmes?

What about castlefords first try? Ball went backwards, not even up for debate.

Why was it not a red card? He kicked out, soft, but to the letter of the law. The narrative been spun by the commentators is hard luck cas, every call against them. Not the case. Arms flail about when a player is being held down and he is wriggling to try and play the ball. Holmes kicked out, it's not like he was in the act of kicking the ball.

Grant began refereeing when he was 16 as an active member of Leeds Referees Society and progressed through the Referee Pathway.

I missed their first try tbf. Thought Cas were also maybe harshly denied a try when that kick bobbled around. The ref blew up as Eden put it down, didn’t even bother checking with the VR.

What was the worst act? An elbow to the mouth or little push with the foot?

Definite red card, the rules are very clear on that no matter how strong the kicks were.

But lots of little refereeing errors too: Myler non-knock on leading to Cas try, couple of apparent Leeds strips not seen etc.

But the big decision he got right, presumably assisted by the video ref.

The decision when he penalised Cas for a tackle off the ball, about a set after he let Hurrell off for the same thing was bizarre.

You’d think Leeds were playing with 12 men - credit to Cas. It was a red card for Holmes however soft, but Myler should’ve gone to the bin for the elbow in the face.

Regarding Cas first try, that dropped ball went backwards. I’m getting sick of every dropped ball getting rules as a knock on.

Hurrells an idiot

Proud of the Cas effort, but utterly embarrassed (again) as a RL fan that we have to accept that level of complete ineptitude from the refereeing team. Is it any wonder we can’t attract new fans & sponsors.
Cue a complete lack of scrutiny of the refereeing team from the sky tea followed by a rinse & repeat for the next game; where some other fan will bemoan the terrible level of refereeing.
