| Looking very good. 50k at the end of October. All the early bird tickets sold out. Now good sales reported at Hull, Huddersfield, Cardiff, Wembley, Rochdale and 35k sold for the final already.
Best thing is 60% of the people buying tickets haven't bought tickets for a major RL event before and 70% of the customers for Wembley haven't bought tickets for a major RL event before.
Put the hardcore RL fans on top of these sales and we're looking at a great tournament crowd wise.
35k for the final already compared to 50k in 08 & 44k in 2000.

| I blame Nigel Wood.
Great news though, The WC is a showcase, lets get behind it and show the best parts of RL

| RFL have to keep up the effort though.
We need a good song for the WC, like the rugby union had in 1995 (World in Union). A good song that people keep humming makes the event seem more special.
We have to hope for 50-60k at Wembley and 60-70k at the final, regardless of who plays.
We also have to hope that the big stars who will attract the fans -- starting with Sonny Bill Williams, and followed by Benji Marshall, Billy Slater, Johnathan Thurston, Greg Inglis and Sam Tomkins -- will all be fit to play right up to the end of the event.

| Terrific stuff.
I've been excited about this world cup for a while now and whilst I've got a couple of hotels booked for games I'm yet to buy any tickets for the matches themselves. I go to pretty much all the England internationals so if I've not got any tickets yet that's a good sign for the amount of tickets I'd still expect to be shifted because I'm sure I'm not on my own in being a typical League fan and feeling there's no need to rush.
Best get my backside in gear.

| Bunch of us are buying a ticket a month. Think our next purchase should be a final ticket, need decent seats for that one!

| Really good news! Hoping to get to the final and the Italy v.s Tonga game. Fingers crossed i can get to semi and opening ceremony too. The final looks like it's going to sell out even before the tournament starts. The opening ceremony and Semi need to be well attended, but it is certainly looking that way with them opening new areas for the opening ceremony.
The really pleasing thing is the lesser games seem to be selling well which is fantastic news as i thought we may struggle to shift some tickets. For example i didn't think the Eng v.s Ireland game would sell many until the tournament started, but it is looking like all England's games are going to sell out.
Although the RFL haven't made too many good decisions of late, i really think they are going to organise a fantastic, well attended tournament. Looks like they have finally realised that if you give fans plenty of time to organise, and buy tickets, they will go to more games!

I've been told the aim is to sell the final out by April, which would obviously be fantastic if it happens! Keep pushing and battling RFL, and make it a fantastic tournament (with an England win) please!

| I can't wait. Spreading the cost of tickets over the year is ensuring I can go to quite a few games.
Seen parts of games at Derwent Park & Craven Park are sold out. I also think the two games in France will draw big crowds. I think this tournament will blow the successful 2008 WV out of the water attendance wise.

| it's going to be a great tournament.....only about 70% of the tournament tickets left to sell
Seriously...re-read the release......spin is spin...do a simple count-back on the venues and you will see that they are running at about 23% sold with 249 days to go. Given 55% of the tickets are 20 notes or under, then expect to see busloads of kids on route to Bristol and Cumbria come game time.....
They have sold less than 50% of the final tickets....if they'd sold more for the double headers they would have said.....so you're looking at 100k to 130k tickets sold to date most of these in England packs........they will struggle to get close to 2008 figures and with 10 more games.
