| Waching the Cowboys and Manley this morning and i have say i was very impressed with having 2 refs on the pitch at the same time the game seam flow better than the normal pace in Oz.
I hope and wish we could do the same in Super League i think it could really improve our game.

[size=200BRING THE TWO REF SYSTEM INTO SUPER LEAGUE[/size
In this mornings game, a Manly player took out a Bulldogs player (Brett Kimmorley), referee Brett Suttor who was the back play official saw this and told Ben Cummins who was the control official via the mic that it was a penalty to Canterbury.
The penalty was given inside three seconds, and the tap was taken after six seconds.
The two referee system has speeded up the game ten fold from the two games that I have seen this weekend.
In the past under the old system of one referee Ben Cummins would have asked the video referee who was Steve Clark today, to look to see if there was a late hit on Brett Kimmorley and should there be a penalty to Canterbury.
Which in return would of held up play for a minute or two while they would anaylise the footage.
The fans want action, action, action and the two ref system gives the fans what they want.

| There aren't enough referees to officiate games on a one per game basis.

| Not enough quality officials in the system in this country to cover the games that the RFL needs covering at the moment, never mind two officials refereeing one match

| It's NRL, not ARL. I thibk the 2 refs needs to be introduced in super league, the only problem is there aren't enough refs to cover 7 games per weekend. The new system is working the NRL and has made the game a lot quicker.

| noticed today in the eels v warriors game that when the players formed a scrum to stop the clock, the players had to stay in scrum formation rather than in the past when the first group of players just formed a fake scrum and then rearranged themselves after the clock had been stopped.
has this new inniciative been brought into super league as well?

no they don't but they do if they require the clock to stay stopped .....when/if they break up to form a "proper" scrum the clock goes back on

| we don't need the 2 ref system
it was only brought in because of dirty, underhanded tactics around the ruck..we don't have that problem..or when we do it's nipped in the bud right away..
