| Due to being away again this weekend, i want to avoid last weeks trouble with gaining wifi access. Therefore I am posting tonights MOTM now.
Top 3 for tonights game as usual. Can Brett Kearney extend his lead or will another player impress you and claw some points back???
Voting starts immediately after the game (so no voting before!!!) and will finish on Tuesday at 12pm.

| Godwin (best player on the field)
Beaver
Platt
(Nero & Whitehead unlucky to miss out, Halley would have been MOM if everything he tried had come off, certainly couldn't fault the effort!)

Whitehead (for sheer guts)
Platt
But Godwin was superb, and several others could be arguably in the frame. Halley did some good stuff and tried very hard to atone for what were a series of bad mistakes -which mean there's no way he was MoM

| First half will be one to be forgotten. However, there were some great performances in the 2nd half.
I could choose any out of Halley, Reardon, Nero, Platt, Sykes, L'Estrange, Godwin, Menzies & Hall.
Wayne Godwin - Great Try, excellent 2nd half, great to see so much passion
L'Estrange - Went well when playing in the halves, influential as always - passionate aswell
Menzies/Reardon - Half each please - Menzies class as always, Reardon's best game so far.
Nero is unfortunate to miss out, but 2 great tries again and if he continues he'll be getting a new contract.

Remarkable that Wakefield had the more eye-catching players (Obst, Murphy, King...) but came up well short over the 80 minutes. FA is spot on with Halley - great when he wasn't making mistakes, but [udid[/u make too many of them.
Fantastic effort given the disruption, and perhaps Kearney's worst match for us (barring the kick for Menzies' try).
Good work also from Sherrife (as ever this season ), Nero (top finishing), L'Estrange, Platt (apart from his complicity in Wakefield's first try), Whitehead, Donaldson (great offloads - shame they didn't go backwards!) and Lynch (for typically overcoming injury).

| 1 - Geoff Evans
2- ...
Sorry...
1 - Wagga - ran the show second half, relished the responsibility when the excellent Heath went to 7
2 - Beaver - if I was a girl I'd want to have his babies. Effing superb; what a signing he has been.
Usual scrum for third - Halley (despite his various mistakes, which deprives him of contentgion for MOM) and Heath could easily be; Sykes had a load of responsibility with both Ox and Kearney missing, and really rose to the occasion and maybe should get it; Reardon's best game for us - the Reardon of old, and I'm so pleased to see it; Platty could easily have had it - he's found his position, and will only get better. Most of them played well second half. Whitehead: what a tough bugger HE is...breakthrough player of the year. On balance, and its coin-toss time here, the Moldovan jury gives it to a player I so want to see do well and pîss on all his unfair critics of the past:
3 - Platt.
But I was not being flippant about Evans. Our guys had the petrol in the tank at the end. Our guys took the knocks but got up again. Our guys looked fit and well-paced. Last season that would not have happened. Last season we did not have Evans. Go figure?
