When exactly did this happen? The Wigan fans are in uproar about it, but I can't see how, with a waterproof, plastic coated ball in those conditions, the water would survive on the ball?

After their first drop goal, Wello was drinking water and then he poured it over the ball which was in place for the re-start. Lo and behold a wigan player caught it and immediately coughed it up in the tackle that followed.

I thought it was very funny but he might face a fine or something. At the time I thought it was Wilkin that did it.

It would have been better if he'd wee weed on it.

As not a fan of either side, i found it highly amusing, its not cheating, he caught the thing, if he'd dropped it off the bat then maybe, but he didn't, likely more of the sweat on his arms, as the ball isnt a sponge it wont have retained much if any of the water put on it by the time he caught it. If he hadnt knocked on it wouldnt be an issue. Its not a flat item so the water has no where to sit lol, funny as.

The ball was lost because it was a very good aggressive tackle. Smith looked fine catching the initial kick off.
