Blimey it wasn't really was it? Just rewatched the match and we were very fortuanate to get that one. A fantastic match and Leeds made numerous breaks but Saints performed miracles keeping them from scoring. I have to say I would be pretty agrieved about losing to that 'try'. Both teams were heroic....a real pity Huddersfield couldn't have given Wigan the same treatment.

Not for me either but i have seen similar if not worse given this season so i don't think it was too controversial going off them.Also, the ref sent it up as try so that goes into the thinking of the VR obviously.Had it been us on the end of it though i would be quite pee'd off, so could understand the Saints fans reactions. Saints were fantastic, and both teams left nothing on the pitch.Just hope the lads can re charge and get up for one big last effort next week.

It's amazing the amount of people who were complaining about Hall's try against Australia being disallowed are now complaining Hall's try against Saints shouldn't have been given. It was a try, and would've been a try in any other SL game.

Yeh no problem with the grounding. Has control of ball when it finally hits ground.

As some posters have pointed out on the VT, people seem to get confused by the issue of downward pressure which is actually only relevant to kicks etc.

Some Leeds fans in denial here. Hall puts the ball down with his arm hairs. I'm not disputing that under the current rules it had to be given. But if we're looking at it objectively then it's come to something that we're awarding tries for that.

There might also have been some argument that there were two sets of Saints hands in there trying to strip it which could have been a penalty try.

On such small margins these tight games are decided. Mind you to some Wiganers highlighted on another thread, it's all a giant conspiracy by the RFL. RFL bosses specifically controlled the bounce if the ball into Ryan Hall's hands against Hudds and then they used their special emergency powers to make 4 defenders fall off Hall as he was escorted to a he try line on Friday night.

I'm still lost at what alternative decision should have been given? Hall never lost the ball and it's on the floor. If it's not a try what is it?
