The BOD statement on the reserves is intersting in that I feel it indicates that the club (in reality Mr Croad) are finding it difficult to find further quality players for next season.

Given that DR hasn't really worked for us in the past I would think we would either not use it or follow the path that Featherstone have followed and use it to the maximum. If that's the case then the likely partner club would probably be Huddersfield, perhaps Wakey, either way we would become a feeder club as envisaged by some when Super League was created.

Either way its a reality check on our true status. No "Money man", Board struggling to ensure financial stability, average crowds around 1200 results in continued second level status.

DR again would probably be it for me, especially shuddersfield, the shame of it. Mr Foleys, Leeds. York Guzzler 3.6% Mmm!

I was told last night that our new BOD are in discussions with Huddersfield about DR and that the plan is to “follow Featherstone” and have a really close relationship.

It could see up to five players in our first team each week and our lads turning out for their reserves.

If that’s the case then I’m off!

I’m not a fan of DR but I have to agree with DNAfax. Last season Fev were not an outstanding squad but they used this system and nearly made it.
