Went to game and realy pleased for penky, bob Beswick and Paul Rowley. Pathetic turn out from Sheffield for a cup final. Glad they lost.

Brilliant game for 70 minutes, QLT threw the game away for Sheffield though... twice! Bit of a shambles with the security and officials they brought in for the game but a good atmosphere around the Shay and a fairly decent crowd considering the teams involved and distance etc. Congratulations to Leigh and North Wales!

To be fair Sheffield did have a fair few in the East Stand, but ye they were never going to turn up in the thousands...

We were in the East stand and I would say Celtic brought more than Seagulls.
200 at most in the North, 30 at most in the east.
More pigeons than Seagulls.
North Wales, our old mate Ryan McDonald, coached by our other old mate, John Fieldhouse.
Robs Brother for London, had a mediocre game,
BUT, it was a great afternoon.
Neutral support? Not a single one for Seagulls.

Went to the game great atmosphere, just a shame some of the Leigh Fans threw bottles onto the pitch then a couple of idiots ran on as well just before the end. But well done Leigh n chuffed Penky scored.

Turnout wasn't great, I bet Leigh too a number similar to the attendance today to Blackpool in 2011.

Result doesn't bother me, but I'd have quite enjoyed Sheffield winning it just to see some of the reactions on here!

The bottles seemed to be the 'craze' of beer chucking in celebration. Not something I'm keen on but certainly not the first time or the last! Was amazed the pitch invaders were escorted back in to the stands to watch the celebrations, no excuse for it at all even though the steward dodging brought big cheers.

Good job they got the NRC cash isn't it? In fact - good job it wasn't played at Blackpool - they'd have lost more money !!

Ongoing historical problems that are slowly being resolved rich, the NRC cash was promised to the players so only the comission on ticket sales and merchandise profit to ease things, but hopefully winning some silverware will generate some more interest

The ' beLEIGHve ' nonsense hopefully being dropped, but the council ( Wigan MBC

) have supported the club with localised marketing based on last years Wigan Athletic ' Believe ' campaign

Good day had by most despite a few organisational issues

Old news, pretty sure it's been sorted when our new board took over last month, also sure the squad were on a £1000 a man bonus if they won yesterday and the prize for winning it was £16000 so dont think our problems are that severe any more.
