Considering the game was even bar in the respect we missed our penalty kick they got there's there are some astounding views on last night from both sides!

Widnes saying we were terrible and didn't deserve a thing, Fax saying they were dominate in every department!

Watching post game interviews I think the coaches & Branighan summed it up well, but of a sloppy scrappy game that could of gone either way, both teams can and will do better, and Fax simply had the better composure (with Branighans kicking) to edge the victory!

One of those games if either side played to full potential and kept hold of the ball could of been a 20 point win either way but both sides playing at the same level really.

More towards Widnes fans really as you can understand Fax getting carried away, winning and all. But to come out of game feeling dissapointed you lost shows the type of game and not that one side was dominant etc.

Poor game , really , far too many mistakes from both sides , I blame the mutants for playing in ' skins '

I don't mean dissapointed in the team, more dissapointed we didn't quite have enough to clinch the win! Dissapointed to have lost rather than in the performance.

The woodwork had a big impact as well. Paterson hit it and it went through for the goal, Grady hit bar and post on separate occasions and both came back out.

A fine line between winning and losing if ever there was one.

A poor game quality wise which was masked by the fact it was very exciting and could have gone either way. Atleast it wasn't a poor quality game that ended 8-4 or something.

Both side clearly weren't at their best yesterday, neither pack got a tonking or whatever some folk are saying. To suggest that this game is the bench mark for the results in the up coming games between us is silly. Halifax vs Widnes on every occasion is going to be a game you can't call with certainty. As Bill Arthur said at the end, it provides bragging rights for 24 hours and that extra 2 points for now. But there's a long was to go yet.
