For the sake of the game the clowns must go. Franchise application no more than a costly smokescreen for our clubs, in business they would fall on swords if they had any dignity, but saying that..........................

Only echoing what fans of other clubs are saying. Funny how they don't get called bitter..

Just thinking then that the idea is to expand but really how the hell can you do this when the fans out there think its a joke ???

So why didn't Widnes fall on their swords and go away?

Or any other club for that matter?

At times the bigotry coming from "certain" Widnes fans make the RFU look like saints when they were giving RL a hard time.

Accept that things do wrong, as per your club, and over time things may change.

What I do know is that come SL application time, another championship club has better things going for it than Widnes and that is not to decry what Widnes are doing!

The expression "to fall on one's sword" means to accept culpability for something and do the honourable thing. What exactly were Widnes or any other club culpable of?? The only guilty parties over the recent fiasco are either the Crusaders, the RFL or the UKBA. I suggest you limit your vocabulary to phrases you actually understand.



Bigotry is a very strong word, are you suggesting that Widnes fans object to Celtic based on their cultural background??? I think not. The RFU had League banned in schools and the armed forces for years as well as banning players from Union who had played League. The two are completely unconnected and you are a fool to connect them. As for bigotry then look no further than the name 'Crusaders', hardly a suitable title considering the high degree of intolerance towards Islam in th UK and the historical connotations of the word.
