"We weren't able to find our rhythm and that was credit to some good play from Wakefield. They kicked really well and also some tactical slowing down of the game which is all part of game management, so (we were) out-thought and I thought Wakefield played with a lot of intelligence.

"It's like watching different sports at times when you see, say Wigan v Warrington or St Helens v Leeds, compared to some of the other games that do descend into a bit of stop-start.

"I understand that some teams have to play to their strengths and also negate the strength of the opposition, but it's probably not the product we are looking for."

What do you expect he's just had his arris handed to him on a plate, this is as good a win as when we put 60 odd on them

Also I'm not looking for a product which has the forth man dropping on a prone player when the tackle has already been completed.

What are we expected to do just let Field and French have a field day. Those 2 won’t have a quieter game all year, and still showed in glimpses just the quality they have. We played to our strengths, Cam Smith made a career out of slowing down the opposition, he was the master. I do like Matty Peet though.

I'm not sure how he thinks we slowed it down any more than his team did.
It certainly wasn't the reason his team couldn't score. That was strong tackling and more effort than the opposition.

I think Peet is proving to be a good coach & I’ve enjoyed watching his Wigan team this year but let’s not forget the rugby served up by the Wigan teams of Wane & Maguire. Some great talents in those teams but they served up some of the most negative & petty rugby I’ve had the misfortune to observe.
Sorry Matty you’ve got to take this one on the chin, out played old boy!

I don’t expect any opposition coach to do anything but comment on why his team won… or lost… he was out coached today… and his team had no answer …

Well whatever Peet said about our style of play , it was within the rules and his team was totally outplayed in both attack and Defence , so all credit to Poching for the game plan that stopped Wigan in their tracks and also the players for implementing it .
