I have heard from a reliable source that games will played behind closed doors from May until July and then will resume like normal from July So the Ashes tour can keep the RFL in profit

And presumably a process will be enacted for continually testing all the players, the coaching and medical staff etc, and their families?

Otherwise, the danger they themselves will face will be enormous.

And what happenes with the people who have paid for a season ticket like myself do we get some kind of refund if we aren't allowed to attend the behind closed doors games???.

In regards season ticket refunds, I think the club will have to offer something should games get played behind closed doors or cancelled but ultimately I hope they do it on the basis of people being offered a few options. Maybe some sort of pro rata refund as one, a discount on a season ticket for 2021 as two and writing any refund off as option three for people who financially feel able to do that and try to help the club. That clearly wouldn’t be an option for everyone but I think there’s a decent percentage of season ticket holders who’d be willing to do that. The club like the fans could never have envisaged this happening, so there’s no right or wrong option people would take and everyone needs to be afforded the option of doing what they can based on their circumstances.

I just don't see the ashes tour ever taking place, who knows when the NRL will get going again as even the Aussie PM says the 28th of may restart is ambitious.

I can't believe that 28th May thing. It seems the NRL have pulled that date out of the air, they have no structure in place, and they have not got an all-clear from the State and federal govts either as far as I know.

Scrap the magic weekend,the Ashes series and the challenge cup,that way we are not putting undue pressure and stress on the players because as far as I'm concerned the players welfare comes first,obviously uncle Gary over at Headingley doesn't really care about player welfare as he thinks they can play 3 times a week

Having medical staff at a sporting event when hospitals are full to the brim of seriously ill and dying patients seems daft. Any spare medics should be helping out the NHS, not strutting around a sports arena in a track suit.

What happens if someone needs hospitalisation as a result of a mistimed tackle?
