Best game so far, solid under the high ball, ran hard and looked dangerous and you can tell he will play a lot better too. Definitely the not the over-the-hill has-been with dodgy knees that most on here had him down as.

He is getting better each game he plays. What a fantastic side step he has and when he throws the dummy the whole opposition defence goes the wrong way.
What happened to his customary last min length of the field try today though

We were discussing him after the game and got on to the subject of 'some' Wigan fans writing off overseas players far too early. He looks to be the latest in a long line of blokes who have been written off after only a couple of games to then go on and turn it around and become a top player for us.

I learned my lesson with Pat Richards but some fans still have not. Matty Bowen is well on his way to joining Richards, Finch and Craig Smith in the scrapheap club.

A few numbskulls slagging him off after a couple of games is not "most on here".

'They' were certainly in the minority and always are when it comes to bagging players before they've had a true chance.

Written off, or criticised? Bowen had some shockers when he first landed. Are we not supposed to comment when that happens?

Writen off by a few, rightfully criticised by many more (including me).

His form wasn't good enough but it now is and he'll continue to improve. There's a comment highlighted in another thread where somebody describes him as the worst Wigan fullback in 20 years after a total of two games!

Like I've pointed out the ones who wrote him off were in the minority.

Ha yeah that's fair enough. I was critical of him but not quite to that degree lol. Loving his form at the moment though. Looked cool as a cucumber this afternoon, he has definitely settled in.

Quality today and has even more to give.

He just looks much happier in general. He was laughing and smiling during the game compared to the first few weeks were he looked downbeat and pretty fed up.

His family being over now has made that difference IMO.

There has been far more than 1 topic. If you feel driven to prove your point though, go through all the threads since the start of the season, not just one.

I'm not that interested in point proving. To settle your nerves though, maybe" most" was an exaggeration, a" fair amount" would have been a better term.
