not long to go now till our first taste of RL again for 2013



Anderson has already stated that every player will get some game time for this one, prob start with a strong team then change at half time.. are st helens doing the same??? you would think so.

will be good to see fielden in a giants shirt and to see how the combo of brough and robinson works.
also whos playing full back and how they go.

dont think we will see o'donnell, crabtree,mcgillvary, fairbank, taai due to rehab, visa

Yeah,that is generally the way these 'friendlies' play out.I'm seriously thinking of going across if anyone fancies it (hint hint),well it is only £12 and it is a game of rugby league after all.

Good to see how some of ours are shaping up in their new roles if nothing else.

Been having a read of the StH local paper and Nathan is still having to defend himself against 'wrestling' tactics as being the main way he got us success,which in some ways now is quite amusing



Also been checking the google map,doesn't look to be much in the way of watering holes around the new stadium,but now they have built a modernistic bridge/walkway from the town centre about a 10/15 minute stroll.

really think dawson and blackmore are going to be pushing george this season for a starter spot, will be good to see these playing.

A shadow of our starting line up in a few weeks time against the same club - but a mixture of youth and experience and those having had surgery given another week to recover.

6 seniors left out, looking forward even more to next weeks game v widnes now to see fielden!

murphy starting ahead of wardle at centre is abit of a surprise but cant read too much into it at this stage

faiumu starting... think this is the right idea with lunt of the bench

will be interesting to see how mullally and kopczak get on

nathan brown saying that lee gaskell is going to be given a chance to nail down the half back role at st helens... this is why he didnt let us sign him

also stated that his kicking game is as good as danny broughs

I think we peaked at our most boring last year. Wrestling would have been a god send. In fact big daddy in the front row, and ray mysterio at half back in place of Perry and Lance, may have livened us all up a little bit.

Wardle was one of those who has had surgery - he's not played those players who have missed a large chunk of preseason so it makes sense.

why not just play him next week at widnes then with the others instead of sticking him on the bench..

doesnt really matter i suppose just seemed to be the one that stood out most as i wardle is our first choice centre unless anderson had other plans!
