| In view of all the rumours etc and statement from the club I would like to say the following;
Nathan Brown has done a fine job for our club and I am sure that Paul Anderson will continue that job !!!!
Wherever Nathan goes I would wish him well and if it is St Helen's I'm sure that he would always be warmly received by our fans.
Interestingly we seem good at finding the right coaches and developing them as Tony Smith and Nathan are good examples.
Let's hope that we can finally 'win a pot' to send him off with but he most certainly will leave us in far better shape than before and for that he deserves our thanks !!!!!
See you all at 'the caravan park' on Sunday !!!

| What would the reception be if he resigned from Huddersfield and took over at Saints this season?
With 3/4 of the season still to go, if he is Saints choice and he wants the job, I can't see them waiting that long to get him on board. I know you've released the 'hands off' statement, but that's just Huddersfield saying what their fans want to hear and them aiming to minimise the disruption. With his contract having less than a season to run I can't see any tribunal-set compensation figure being very high.

| If the club allowed NB to leave early I would have no problem. All our young stars are on long contracts so would attract major transfer fees to leave.
My major reasoning for this is that NB needs a job and with a succession plan in place it would be churlish not to let him go if St Helen's were to pay sizeable compensation.

The most forceful statement coming out of Huddersfield was from NB. He does not make unequivocal statements if he does not want to. He has a strong commitment to the club, ken davy and his players. If you think he would jump ship you fail to understand the guy.
If Saints want him they will have to wait and you will have to limp through the season with Rush Sacking Simmons smacks of panic not decisiveness.
You have been very astute in your analysis of Saints. If NB does not get an oz head coach job he may well join you. He will improve you straight away but......he inherits several poorer players on long term contracts, the import of quality players is drying up + there are some strong player cliques...it will be a tough job

| Don't think NB will have early release, he will try his hardest to win us a trophey this season and go out on a high. If he had the chance to take a job back in Australia would he move back over taking the saints job? Or is he settled here in England? Not really read much about it!

| He wants a job in Oz, best way to secure one would be by winning silverware with the Giants. It's a no brainier for me

| I will always be grateful to him for turning this club into one of the most feared teams in the country and one where fans of other clubs are in awe of what he has done and the players he has brought through.
I doubt he will go but if Saints did something silly like offer him ridiculous money and the Giants ridiculous compo and he couldn't resist then i will applaud the man and shake his hand if and when i see him.
This guy is quite simply the best thing to happen to Huddersfield RLFC in many years and i cant see any fan having anything other than positives towards Nathan ever !!.

| I wouldn't have thought Brown would leave before the end of the season as your in with a very good chance of silverware this year.
I wouldn't worry, its a resonably common theory that a coach, however good, can stay at a club too long and performance can suffer. Brown's done well for you and I'm sure Baloo will continue that trend.

| I am a relatively new supporter of 5 years, having come up from the deep south. But I remember the impact Nathan had on the team and the passion and professionalism he has shown towards the club. I do not believe he will go back on his word and I thank him for converting me to the wonders of SL and the Giants in particular. I met him last year when my son was a mascot and he is genuinely a really nice man and I will always watch his progress from afar with great interest.

| Joe westerman Castleford to hull £175,000 as he was on a long contract at Cas and Hull wanted him straight away. we paid Wakefield £14,000 for Danny Brough whether a transfer fee or compensation it does not matter the longer the contract length left the higher the sum if they want the player or he stays unless the contracted club chooses to let him go for free
