| I just wonder if they are seriously contemplating asking the RFL if they can drop down a division into C1?

I wouldn't think so.
It would seem to me, from what has been said from official sources, is that we have a serious short term cash flow problem. If we can overcome that issue then we will be able to operate in the Championship next season. How competitively, that remains to be seen.
Unless we are forced in to entering administration, I don't see what dropping to C1 would achieve for us.

| Would administration be a bad thing ?
If i am correct if we went into administration the only punishment from the RFL is points deduction it no longers harms your SL application. If we could avoid relegation as a result next seaseon it wouldn't be that bad AND it would meen that the current contracts we are tied into with catering etc would be nul and void meening we could re negotiate, i may be completely wrong so don't shoot me for suggesting it.

That would be a big big ask next year bear in mind the limit money that is likely to be made available to recruit a squad capable of surmounting a 9 point handicap to avoid relegation.

I was talking about this the other day. There are plenty of pros and cons to doing it.

I think the only significant contracts that the club have are with their staff (players and non-playing) and their tenancy with LSVco. Catering, and all other aspects of the stadiums commercial running, are handled by LSVco. We may be able to renegotiate a better deal with LSVco, but we shouldn't need to go in to admin to secure that.
The consequences of going in to admin would likely be loss of players and other staff, damage to the clubs credibility, potential loss of tenancy at LSVco, and either a 10 point deduction or immediate relegation. This is is almost certainly going to lead in to a spiral of lower income meaning smaller budget, meaning lower income, meaning...

I can't think of any pro's.
The only thing we would benefit from is that we could walk away from our current obligations (i.e. paying the players and staff their wages, maybe what we owe to local suppliers, etc.). I'm not sure anyone wants to see that happen.
Either way, the money we could walk away from owing is probably a pittance compared to the season long budget.
