Glad Joel is staying although Smith says he's part of our plans for next season there is no mention of any extension, as said previously probably to play at centre, along side Atkins who I think has two more seasons, the question mark over Joel has now been removed and placed elsewhere.
Lineham is not to be our marquee signing so a good chance of another signing.

^ HAS TO be a half back, never has a team been crying out for a leading half back with a good kicking game and inventiveness to his game than we are right now.
I actually don't know what to make of Smith's small comment on Joel; “Joel’s a big part of our future and plans for next year,” that was it, no detail or even another word on the matter leaving it to be read into a bit too much in my mind. Maybe he's a big part for the future games of this season and the plan is to sell him next year? He hasn't said "Joel will be a Warrington player next season"...maybe he will be and the plan is that he'll see much less game time?

however his performances at 6, overall haven't been that much cop.
Personally when at Salford, he seemed to be a more effective as a centre. Here, at the moment, he's best as a FB, or as others have stated, an attacking 13. |
