Great result tonight, especially when you consider the other 3 Challenge Cup Quarter Final winners from last weekend all lost. Both Widnes and Castleford suffered heavy defeats and Leeds lost narrowly to Huddersfield.

Think that is our first Super League win at Craven Park since 2011, not one of our happiest hunting grounds, so very pleased with the win.

Cas looked shot to pieces tonight. It was always going to be the case once they got a few injuries, but what the hell happened to Widnes? They got absolutely stuffed.

I actually wouldn't be suprised if Cas start to fall away a bit now. I think they put a hell of a lot into the cup game, they clearly fancy their chances of winning the CC but I think they'll struggle to maintain their league form.

As for Wires, the June & July's fixtures have fallen very nicely for us. With some of the walking wounded back during that period, we should really be flying by the time August and the SF come around.

Agreed, but for me the only team currently in the top 3 who look virtually certain of retaining their current standing is Saints, plus they don't have the distraction of the cup.

Leeds' season has reached a crossroads - Burrow is out, Sinfield is having a poor season, their pack is looking low on gas so they need to regroup rapidly.

Wigan were good tonight, against a heavily-fatigued Cas team, but they were poor in the semi and still rely very heavily on O'Loughlin's for direction. Without him they still look vulnreable to me.

Still all to play for, and the momentum is undoubtedly with us.

After some of the comments here a couple of months back it's great to finally see some optimism. Wires indeed looking good for the end of season push!

It's the first time that Cas have lost by more than eight points this season, this forum wrote them off in March and I still don't think they will go away as simply as some suggest.

If Widnes beat Wigan on Wednesday then we're only 2 points off 3rd!

Now there's a game all good Wire fans will have nightmares abut who we want to win.

Do we want Widnes to win so that it pegs back the Pies , or do we want Wigan to beat the Smellies because they are the Smellies.

Makes you feel dirty just thinking about it.
