| anyone else pleased with his forrm lately?
since he has moved to hooker he has looked dangerous whenever he has the ball, looks like making breaks more and is a lot more creative than at half back. plus he played the full 80 yesterday i believe. his defence continues to be great aswell.
on current form i would be pleased to keep him.

| Mona's is a very good player at hooker; intelligent, offers flare, defensively outstanding at times in the middle. No reason to let him go based on that.

| He's a mixed bag.
Against rubbish sides that's fun, against good sides I'll worry.
Clarke to start, keep things under control, Monas from the interchange for me.

Erm, when he's fit.
He'd compete with the pair of them.
Some weeks, I'd advacate leaving Clarke off altogether, go with tempo from the start and know that your interchange keeps that, games like yesterday where they obviously can't live with you for 80 mins, Celtic, Catalans say as they have big forwards, y'know.
Other weeks, basics keep you in the contest, I think the CC Semi Final, will be one of these.

| Got to agree with JWP on this...... Monaghan playing at hooker is a massive improvement from his play at the start of the year however he didn't do a tap against Huddersfield or Saints the other weeks but against Salford and Celtic he looks like a world beater, he needs to put in some good performances against the big clubs to prove how good he is and the next three games will judge that.
Defensively he's always been great, working hard for the team and his tackling technique is almost perfect but yet again he will come charging out the line on a few occasions and miss his man leaving a gap the size of bridgefoot for the opposition to exploit.

| whether at scrum half or hooker monas is excellent when running forwards, his form does not match this when he has to carry the ball sideways or distribute to either side along the line, defensively he's very solid but looks more comfortable and plays better at acting halfback, for me he's a very good hooker.

Finally someone who actually spots what he does. Monaghan is excellent at ginving a pass to runners, he will put them through gaps all day long if they are there, with incisive short passes.

| Been waiting for Monas switch to hooker for some time and Im very pleased with his performances there so far. I don't think he's directing the play as much as some hookers in SL and watching him yesterday he seemed quiet at times. This may have been down to playing a full 80. I do like to see a.h.b's targeting weak/tired players for the props to hit. 1st 2nd and 3rd drives at the same man til hes battered. Love it.
