Here is the deal. This game will now determine who plays NZ in the final.

If Australia wins then Australia is into the final.

If Samoa wins by 1-7 points then England is into the final.

If Samoa wins by 9 or more then Samoa is into the final.

If Samoa wins by 8 then there could be a mid-week playoff between England and Samoa.

I can see Samoa winning but if it's by 8 don't they go on attacking points etc

I would be very surprised if Samoa can go a third game with a major nation and keep it as tight.

I'm going for an Australia win by atleast three scores and will be very happy to be proved wrong again!

Samoa are getting better the more games they play together and it's a very weak Australian side.
Australia should win, but an upset isn't impossible (If I'd have said that two weeks ago even I would have thought I needed a mental health checkup).

I really don't know, but a playoff would be fairer, even though it gives NZ a huge advantage in the final.

IMO in the unlikely scenario that Samoa wins by a margin that levels them points wise with England then it should simply come down to the head-to-head record. I know that sounds easy to say as that means England would qualify but surely it any two teams were involved it seems the simplest way? Whoever won the group game between the two, qualifies, simple.

It will be that or points for i would say.

No way there is a play off imo.

The Aussies will win comfortably in my view. I think Samoa gave everything against the Kiwis last week, and the last minute defeat will have broken them a little.

It goes on tries scored ......... currently England have scored 2 more, so we need Samoa to win by less than 8, or by 8 whilst scoring only 1 try ......... if they win by 8 whilst scoring 2 tries, I have no idea what happens.

I'm only guessing but I think it will go on the result between the two Nations therefore England go through.
