Brown makes himself look stupid. If you're born in England, you're English.

Brown, who is in his fourth season in Super League and will take over at St Helens next year, was scathing of McNamara's decision to give New Zealand-born stand-off Rangi Chase his England cap in last year's Four Nations Series.

And he is equally critical of the call-up of Catalan Dragons' Australia-raised hooker Ian Henderson for this year's internationals, especially at the expense of in-form Giants hooker Luke Robinson.

Although Henderson was born in Torquay and represented Scotland in the 2008 World Cup after qualifying through his Glasgow-born father, Brown is adamant that he should not play for England.

He said: "If something looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it's a duck, isn't it?

"He looks Aussie and talks Aussie so I suppose he is an Aussie."

I read it. What a stupid thing to say.

Brown is right about Chase and wrong regarding Henderson.
Henderson was born in England and who can a man the right to play for the country of his birth?

I would agree if he hadn't already played for Scotland

No. I think once you commit to a Country then you shouldn't be allowed to change.

Yes I know the Aussies and Kiwis do it, but that doesn't make it right.

But that's an entirely different reason to the fact that he has an Aussie accent.

But being born in a country isn't the only method of being a national of that country.

Widdop has a weird West Yorkshire/Aussie accent so he shouldn't play for England I don't think
