Talking to my mate the other day about the programme gladiators and was reminded of a competitor being signed by a rugby league outfit. Neither of us could remember who he signed for or what his name was. Can anyone remind me what exactly went on?

Wasn't it some American bloke called Wesley '2 scoops' something or other? Think he signed for Hunslet in the mid-late 90s IIRC.

Don't remember that, but do remember Hunslet giving one of the guys from 5ive a trial.

I remember Anthony Farrell flattening all the Gladiators on 'Gauntlet', leaving them on the floor and looking rather peeved. He just stood at the end in victory, grinning at them.

I'm pretty sure it was him anyway. Would love to see the footage again.

I remember Ellery Hanley knocking the roid-boys about too.

It was his brother Andrew. He played wing for Hunslet/Batley/Dewsbury or summert. He was a big'un for a winger though.

Neil Parsley came 2nd in the UK Gladiators and was signed by Lancashire Lynx. Warrington signed him in the season in the season we also signed Langer, Nikau and Gee. He wasn't great.

I lived up there around that time and some sage I know said he all the right ingredients but just needed a bit more thyme and he'd have spiced things up for the Lynx.
