Odd game really, some of our attack was excellent, some of our defensive efforts were woeful. It had the feel of a game we would somehow loose. Thankfully the second half display earned a win, but some of our inconsistencies remain. Another tricky one at Donny next week. If we're switched on for the full eighty minutes I see no problem getting the win. But what are the chances we are switched  on for the full eighty?

Brian Noble was asked this question in the post-match interview. Holmes is 3/4 weeks away. Not sure if that's 3/4 from training or playing. Taufua is still out long term.

Seems like most teams have identified where we're weak in defence and are all having some joy there,  whether that be down the left or up the middle around the ruck (while Lawrence and Donaldson are off).   We don't have the personnel to change much down the left as we don't have any depth so it's up to the coaching staff to do their job to improve it.  

Watching highlights, I'm starting to get a little frustrated with the amount of legitimate tries we're getting chalked off when comfortably ahead, especially onsidering only points difference is seperating 1st and 2nd. There was nothing wrong with that Lilley try. 

I’ve watched the highlights back and Widnes first try, there was no protection for Hooley and little chase after Maizen caught it.
Their second was a good move, 2 out of the back, and a good angle to finish.
Our defence was nipping out trying to shut it down but that creates gaps which they exposed.
Their third was a barge from dummy half, tacklers not set from previous tackle.
The penalty on Souter for the charge down was very harsh having watched it back don’t know what the ref was watching.
On the whole I thought we did ok but need to work together more in defence.
