| Tonight was the last night in this fine establishment, I believe. All the pictures have been removed and the bar staff were saying that it is to be demolished on 10 September.
I know it's gone downhill since Graham was removed and it only opened on match days but I've had some damn good night in there and I'll miss it loads.
The Monday after our 2004 GF win was a particular highlight. It was a fantastic night. The photo of me with a pint in one hand and the Super League trophy slung over the other shoulder is one I'll treasure, as is the one of all the Southstander cognoscenti (at that time) clustered around the trophy.
Goodbye Club, you were great. Thanks for the many, many memories.
Oh, and thanks to all the bar staff. Bernadette, Blondie, Student Bird and the rest. You were fantastic.

| Apparantly he popped in, but didn't say owt. We were too busy drinking and reminiscing to notice.

Well duh! Obviously, since the place has been deliberately run down over the past few years in anticipation of dispensing with it altogether. All for the greater good so that more spend dosh on beer inside the ground and that spanking brand new south stand gets built.
In haven't set foot in the place for about 3 years but it was fine the last time I did.

| Was horrible to see the old girl in such a bad way. Beer was rank, atmosphere was muted and as mentioned, all the memorabilia had been stripped. A sad, sad end to a once matchday staple.

| Once one of only a handful of pubs/private clubs to serve hand pulled Tetley Bitter, an oasis in an ocean of electric crap beer, memberships (and you only got in as a member) were in high demand and much prized.
The refusal to put the electric pumps in was at the insistence of the members and was one occasion when the corporates couldn't control the retail outlet.

| One Boxing Day, I won £80 quid on the bandit. I only put £2 in. Happy times.
