I think the attitude of our leader is not to counter any thing printed in the tabloids. Rangi Chase gets plenty of column inches and the club probably like that aswell. He is contracted to CT for another 3 seasons.
There is also a degree of confidentiality between SL clubs. If (for example) Warrington came in with an offer of say £300,000 Cas Tigers don't have to make that public to suit Warrington's wishes and similar favours are returned. I heard that Warrington recently came in with a four figure bid for Daz Clark which was turned down but niether Warrington or CT have made this public - its between the clubs and I can imagine Warrington won't want to be portrayed as the mega rich club (that they are) just like CT don't want to look like a selling club.
Very very good point. If the signings come off we will have IMO a quality back line next year keep rangi off load the old dogs get in some talent to build round our young guns
