Few injuries plus 3rd man in Tonks suspended meant they only had 1 recognised prop playing..

I know its early but wasnt impressed with either team tonight. Both looked to have gone backwards since last year. Leighs line speed doesnt look as quick, and their fowards dont look as good. Fev are obviously struggling with injuries but their attack didnt seem to be as organised as last year.

In regards to the game, Leigh did look impressive. Duffy bossed the ruck area and brought the forwards on superbly. They spread the ball very well and most shockingly, Nanyn looks like he is in some sort of shape


It was always going to be tough for Fev, 17 for Leigh against 14 for Fev for most of the game, Smeaton's ankle roll looked like a bad'un.

Who is through? May have been a bit difficult.

Leigh looked ok tonight but i think most teams in the league would have beaten Fev tonight with their problems so its hard to say.

Well we won but I know Fev where understrength. I thought we dropped too much ball and we played the last quarter with our best 4 props out.

Anyways a game we lost last season. We will get better so will Fev. Difference is we are a lot better than you saw tonight' if you watched it.

After watching the game I thought Leigh looked Ok but Fev were woeful at times. I know they have some injuries but as others have posted they did not really pose a threat with the ball in hand. (I hoped they were well paid for Briggs !!)

The commentary from Sky was as usual very good, at one point they stated the attendance was very low even though the match was on tele and it was freezing. having said that it was still on par with certain S/L teams !!
