No problem with any of the senior departures or the principal of promoting from the reserves.
A bit disappointed that some of the reserves that looked to be making progress are moving on.
Whenever I watched the reserves, Nelmes and Reilly stood out.
Does it fit that we are losing 3 of this years first team squad props and letting the better reserve team forwards move on yet promoting from within??????

Not a great deal of scope for many incomings there.Be very interesting how we run at halfback and who's considered first choice there.

Just hope for entertainments sake that we get some pace in the backs. Enjoyed watching the warrior over the years . Pleased he hung his boots up with a try like that. That's what I like to see.

His last game summed his career with Fax up. Cost us 6 points at a vital time and scored a long range consolation try when the damage was already done, and didn't even take it under the sticks!

Murrell and Johnston just like we finished the season. Talking of players that maybe we could possibly sign I see Paddy Flynn has left Sheffield, now I know he sited problems commuting when he turned down the chance to sign for us last time but we could do a lot worse than him as a replacement for Worrincy.

Won't get in the 4 with that halfback combo.If we dont bring in a halfback i'd try Woodburn Hall at 6.Dont want journeymen wingers either,promote Chester Butler.

the signing of Penny is apparently off according to League Express. they referenced him wanting to go part time and us being front runners, but that he also hada decent job so whether its a case of our training schedule is too much or if he will actually continue at all is yet to be seen.

think will see more of woodburn-hall at 6 next season. can pass too.

Paddy Flynn is probably slower than me !!!!!! You won't stop him from 10 yards out but don't give him the ball 40 yards out these days. He is certainly not the future ( I hope) even Salty is quicker over 40 yds ! Now if we could only have Killroy , Austin and Preston .......that was pace!

See Johnny Campbell has gone back to Batley . For me he's a good signing for them .

Id tell you that personally I would go with what we have next season with Heaton and Salty/Butler on the wing but I wouldnt think you would like no new blood. I doubt also we will see Woodburn Hall much at halfback as thats not really where Marshall sees him. I would have him and Barber at centre though. In all honesty we are going to struggle to make the top 4 next season whoever we play at half back, just a quick look at the half backs in the likely top 4 of Leigh, Toronto, Toulouse and London would tell you that. Next season is going to be very tough and club does not have the money to compete with those teams so it will be a case of the current squad having to step up once again.

well you correctly predicted they could step up last year so lets hope for more of same.Don't want backs signing for the sake of it unless they are better than what we have.Having lost 3 props(if that description fits Mammone
