Cant blame the lad for wanting a shot at SL but its still one of the reasons why I think we waste our time with a second team. All the best players are signed up by the SL teams and then any rough diamonds that are missed by the SL teams get poached by them after Championship teams give them a shot.

I totally agree. Whilst I think it's good that we have a reserve team, i wonder if it's worthwhile, time and money wise ,when a 'bigger' club can just come along and take them. Do we get a transfer fee for him?

I know if a SL club signs a player under 21 then they are required to pay a "development fee." This is based on how many months a player has been contracted to you. Not sure on the figure but say £500 per month for example.

I imagine this also applies to Championship clubs, but I'm not certain about that.

Fair play to the lad either way, looks a good player but we're pretty blessed in the centres, but a step upto SL is massive so he'll have a lot of hard work ahead, time will tell

I know Nick on a personal level and i know he's being loaned back to us.

He's got the ability to be a very good player and has been monitored for a number of months now by Hull.

Can't blame him for taking a full time deal with Hull when they're allowing him to do a University course at the same time as well.
